Hookle is a phone app for iOS and Android aimed at small business owners who handle their own marketing. It publishes to Instagram, Facebook Pages, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads, YouTube, Bluesky, Pinterest and Google Business Profile, with AI post suggestions, stock image suggestions, smart scheduling and simple stats. There is no web or desktop version, and X posting needs the Plus plan.

Which one should you choose?

Choose Ampli if…

  • You work at a computer. Ampli runs in the browser on desktop and on your phone, with one calendar for every channel and bulk scheduling for a week of posts at once. Hookle is a phone app with no web or desktop version, and it has no bulk scheduling.
  • You post to X regularly. Ampli publishes to X on every plan, including long posts for X Premium accounts, and paid plans include 30 to 150 X posts with links a month, while Hookle limits X to its Plus plan and 3 link posts a month.
  • Your AI agent does the scheduling. Ampli's MCP server and REST API let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client upload media and schedule or publish across every channel. Hookle has no public API or MCP server.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ampli better than Hookle?

For most creators and small teams, yes. Ampli schedules from your desktop as well as your phone, with bulk scheduling, X on every plan and Claude or ChatGPT able to schedule for you through MCP. It can also design slideshows, carousels and pins to fill your queue. Hookle fits better if you only post from your phone or need Google Business Profile.

How much does Hookle cost compared with Ampli?

Both have free plans. Ampli Starter is $12 a month for 3 channels with unlimited posts and 150 AI credits, Pro is $29 for 8 channels and Premium is $39 for 15. Hookle Solo is $7.99 a month or $47.99 a year, and Plus is $16.99 a month or $99.99 a year, before tax.

Can I use Hookle on a computer?

No. Hookle's help center says there is no browser or desktop version; it runs on iOS and Android. Ampli runs in the browser on your computer and also works in your phone's browser.

Does Hookle post to X?

Only on the Plus plan, and X posts that include links are capped at 3 a month. Ampli publishes to X along with TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook and YouTube, including long posts for X Premium accounts.

Can I post from Claude or ChatGPT with either tool?

With Ampli, yes. Its MCP server and REST API let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client upload media and schedule or publish across every channel, or generate a designed post first, and posts your own agent writes use no Ampli credits. We found no public API or MCP server for Hookle.

Does Ampli have a mobile app like Hookle?

Not yet. Ampli works in your phone's browser and focuses on scheduling and publishing across eight networks, with designed posts generated when you need them. If you want a native app for posting on the go, Hookle covers that.
